Welcome to my journey

Here is a compilation of my experiences, most recently starting a Master of Architecture program at the University of Oregon. As the process unfolds, new doors and light reveals the things previously hidden. A process of learning, living, being.

Agriculture as Urban Fabric

My studio project this term is to look at agriculture as a fabric within an urban context (Portland, OR in this case) We are looking at the influencing factors to a site, and trying to pull out the aspects that we each want to focus on. I have tried to understand many of the forces working on a city and how they weave together. How can our linear path of consumption be altered to allow for diversity and cycles to reveal themselves as we are all connected through this intricate web.

Hey Laur!
I love this collage. Last Saturday I went to a summit for the VT Farm to Plate Initiative which is focused on Community-based food systems. It was engaging, and the keynote speaker had so many anecdotes from around the country--maybe some resources from his research would be of interest!
